Hey my friends ❤️ I really wanted to talk a bit about the journey to how I got to my current physique, metabolism & training style and what I would have done differently if I were to start now! Hope you enjoy!! Lots of love xx

Hey girl I love how you explain things so well but it gets a bit confusing at times too, just trying to remember and learn what what was what, but I would like to know how would it affect my body if I did start doing 50/50 ? Between the two types of workouts that you were talking about in the vid. I normally do weights and I’ll normally just only ever do super sets

Thank you for being so honest about how you got your physique and how crucial of a role hypertrophy played in that. There are honestly so many women who believe that hypertrophy makes you into Arnold Schwazenger or something, I myself was one of them, until I tried it for myself and realized how it actually made me more compact and lean and strong! I heart hypertrophy!

  16. Sarah Ramones

    March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

This is a really informative video!! I started transitioning into doing functional training a few months ago because I was tired of doing the same old 4-day-a-week hypertrophy training. Now I actually look forward to working out again because I do what I wanna do and have fun with it. I currently weight lift 3 days a week and do 2 days of HIIT. At first I was worried about losing mass but I realized it was just what I needed to look and feel better. Thanks Natacha!

Is there a way to accurately determine how many bmr is and how many calories I would need for maintenance? How

  18. Mahdis Nikou

    March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

I’ve been doing weight training with a bit of HIIT for a year now (haven’t been 100% consistent) but I haven’t seen any significant results. I want to reduce body fat and build muscle, grow my glutes and get physically stronger with a better metabolism. I feel like everything I’m doing is wrong and no YouTube video can help me understand what’s right to do because everything is just so confusing and very technical. Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you ever had pain while training? My knees are not great so I tried to do more jumping in my routine and couldn’t. I’d love to see interviews with people who started at a heavier weight than you and had pain from body imbalance.

I have the hardest time with over eating my calorie limit and most of the time it’s junk food xl i don’t know how to stop …I get really bad craving all the time…what should I do? And how do I make up for going over my calorie limit

  22. Carleigh Barszcz

    March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

I feel like instead of saying “built my metabolism”, it might be better say “increased the calories I burned” because implying that your metabolism changes vastly throughout your lifespan is misleading. Your BMR (i.e. “metabolism”) doesn’t drastically change due to increased heart rate or exercise. People need to stop blaming their “slow metabolisms” for their lack of weight loss or inability to achieve their fitness goals! Just being nitpicky here but I still like your videos 🙂

Do you have any advice on how often I should do hypertrophy training and balancing cardio? I am an avid cyclist/triathlete and find it really difficult to balance “leg days” with cycling? as I usually feel really sore and fatigued a few days after and do not perform well on the bike. Should I focus more on upper body? Also I dont really have an off season as I participate in ironman and/or cycling and running events year round.
    I LOOOOOVE your channel.

Hey Natacha, Thank you so much for continuously sharing the most educational and practical knowledge in your videos! I was curious, though: I understand how you manipulated your “proportions” of your training styles, but how did you incorporate cardio within this shift? You obviously do HIIT style training, but how much of that is in your weekly routine typically? Thanks so much! <3

  31. Paige Kirk

    March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

Makes so much sense. I haven’t really been doing any functional trainings which is why I think results have been slowly recently. I’m going to start incorporating it into my training! Thanks Natacha xx

I’m a teenage girl, and I really want to build muscle and get leaner. I do a lot of cardio now(I do track), but I have a good amount of muscle. All I have is a 12lbs dumbbell and a pull up bar, any tips?

  34. Isitalala

    March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

You said your metabolism / caloric output changed from 1500 to 2700 in / after the first year. How did you keep track of that? How do I know after a few months of training whether or how much my metabolism has increased? HELP! 😀 Cool video 🙂

I really liked this video, very interesting! I just started weigth training a few months ago, after being a “cardio queen” myself haha, and I LOVE the way my body is starting to look, can’t believe I never did this before

  36. JESSICA CAVALCANTE

    March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

Natacha, can you talk more about how you built your metabolism and increased your calories with minimal fat gain? I’m working on that now but a little lost on when to increase cals and when to stop. I’m at about 2000 and have been gaining some fat (expected). I would love if you could expand on this 😊

  37. kari grippo

    March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

  51. Kinz

    March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

Hey Natacha! I want to increase my basal metabolic rate so I know I need to bulk. However, I don’t necessarily want to grow my quads, shoulders, etc. If I do mainly strength training, can I still increase my BMR? Or do I need to do hypertrophy work and therefore grow the muscles more before I can cut/lean out? I’ve been weight lifting on and off for awhile but I didn’t know any of the lingo and I never really had a plan so it’s all a little bit confusing haha.

    Thanks love <3

  63. Jessica Burroughs

    March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

I feel like stretching and isometric exercises play a huge role in physique, and it truly is a journey. At this point in my journey I’m down 65+lbs from my heaviest, and I’m lighter than what I was in highschool. Most of it is over this past two years, and I can honestly say that cardio is the biggest factor in releasing body fat, hypertrophy is the biggest factor in maintaining the metabolism, and Yoga is the biggest factor for toning and physique. Just listen to your body and observe how it responds to each stimulus 🙂 <3

Thank you for always being so honest and sticking to the facts. You deserve way more subscribers as the message you put out is so real and important. My journey so far is a bit similar to yours, I did my first half marathon last October and since then have been lifting at least twice a week and have been bulking. I’m doing a bit of a cut now but taking it slow and steady as I don’t want to kill off my metabolism. Sorry for the ramble, love your YouTube and Instagram so much, keep it up Natacha 💖🥰

Can you possibly do a video on body recomposition 101? For example, I’d call myself “skinny-fat”, meaning I have high fat to low muscle ratio yet I look okay and I have a healthy weight/bmi for my height. But changing to have more muscle compared fat would help me and others increase overall fitness, ILY ❤️❤️❤️

omg how did you build your metabolism so fast?! I’ve been struggling for so long to get it up to just 2,200 cals without putting on weight, but i keep putting on weight, so then i go back to like 1,800 to loose it…. its a bad cycle 🙁 and i’m really active, both like training, work, etc. and i do have quite a lot of muscle, but my calorie intake is still not increasing (without me putting on fat)
Do you have any idea what I could do? <333

what is the difference between hypertrophy and strength training? I thought they were the same…

    • Natacha Océane

      March 26, 2020 at 4:24 am

Hey Chris ♥️ hypertrophy is focusing more on growing your muscle size (usually working in the 8-12 rep range for 3-4 sets ie. doing lots of volume) while strength training is more about training the nervous system and going close to maximum output ie. 1-5 reps for a few sets (: and lifting the most amount of weight.

Hope that makes sense (: xx

I need to say, strength training is so much fun! and so effective when it comes to muscle growth, I´m so happy that I gave it a try (and YES it´s hella much fun to be strong and to be able to lift so much weight) .. sadly there are not many girls in my gym who tried this form of training – the good old fear of heavy weights 🙁 I still hope that this will change with time!
P.S.: great vid natacha, I love your personality& your videos are always so inspiring 💕 thx, stay as you are!

  103. Jolly Spoon

    March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

I love how transparent you are about your training and how you got to the point you’re at now, making really clear your current training style differs from what actually got you there. Most fitness youtubers these days are not as explicit about it and I feel like a lot of people just follow them blindly not considering that they probably start from a really different body than those youtubers.
Your videos are just awesome and inspire me to change up my training style! 🙂 Lots of love from Germany

Hi! Okay so I started your cut program and I have loved the workouts! I am just really struggling with the nutrition side of things. In the past I’ve struggled with anorexia and now I am just overweight and my mindset is just super jumbled. I’ve tried tons of diets and can’t seem to stick to one or follow through usually longer than a week or two! I started watching your videos a couple weeks ago figured out I now have binge eating disorder I just obsess over a food and eat as much of it as I can and usually its late at night etc… Its also been hard because I have younger siblings who just love to eat junk food all day and being around them its hard to ignore or say no to those foods. I find myself constantly thinking about food and when I can eat next etc… I have tried cutting my calories and eating less, but that just makes my brain want to eat more! Its like I am addicted to unhealthy food! This has been my lifestyle for the last couple of months and I am desperate for a fix or solution! I have never struggled with working out or getting to the gym I love that part of it. Just can’t figure out the nutrition aspect especially with trying to loose some weight. Is there anyway you could do a video on how to overcome these urges to eat junk food 24/7, or if you have any tips I am desperate to feel comfortable in my skin again. :/ thanks!! -Kenadi (also I love your videos and you, you’re amazing!)

    March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

You’re my favourite person to watch Natacha 🙂

Could you do a video showing how to activate certain muscle groups for beginners? I haven’t consistently exercised for a long time and I feel like my metabolism is slowing down and I just feel unfit. I find it hard to start working out because I feel nauseous/lightheaded easily. I’m trying to start slow by only doing 10-15 minutes when I can. I find it’s hard to actually do certain exercises where the muscle I want to target is used e.g. doing a sit up I tend to use my back muscles and leg muscles because my core is so weak. Do you have any tips? I’ve tried touching the muscle I want to work and thinking about it but it doesn’t seem to help since I don’t really have a base level of fitness.

  140. Anna S

    March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

Hello! How did you know how many calories you were burning? And would you count calories for your cuts?
I’m currently doing (and loving) your CUT workout plan, and I am seeing a difference in the muscle I’m building, but I have had a bad history with calorie counting so I haven’t been doing that portion. Thus, how would you recommend cutting without calorie counting?

Can you do a video explaining the different type of trainings?

  145. JJ Y

    March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

I’ve been weight lifting about 4 days a week for a few months. My current goal is to build some lean muscle mass and to lose a little bit of fat. I think I’m eating balanced meals most of the time and I’m not particularly restricting my carbs. However, I still end up binding on carbs (I’d eat like half loaf or more of a bread in one sitting, for instance) here and there. Why do you that might be? It’s so frustrating. When I binge on carbs and other processed food, I feel so bad and guilty.

  161. Camille

    March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

What is the difference between hypertrophy and strength training? And also, why is functional training (specifically, asymmetrical/unilateral work and free weights) isn’t as good for building muscle? Might need a video for all that…😕 Hehe

    • Stefka Stefanova

      March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

@Camille I must’ve not explained this well enough – have a look at this article – I think it articulates it better than I did: https://www.bodybuilding.com/content/size-vs-strength-are-you-lifting-too-heavy.html
Also I’m sure Natasha will soon make a video on this as quite a few people requested it. In summary pure strength is about neurological changes that make you stronger, whereas hypertrophy is about physical changes in your body (increase in muscle mass)

    • Camille

      March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

@Stefka Stefanova It doesn’t seem to be what Natacha is doing or talking about though, cause she did higher reps when strength training than hypertrophy training…
Also you contradicted yourself saying HT won’t work on pure strength but then said it’ll make you stronger.

    • Stefka Stefanova

      March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

Strength training is more about adaptations of your nervous system learning to recruit more motor units at the same time while hypertrophy is merely focused on muscle growth and not pure strength. For ST you’d do no more than 1-5 reps doing compound movements such as squats, bench press, deadlift, overhead press and pull ups, while hypertrophy is 6-15 reps. There is an overlap between the two training styles as ST will give you some muscle growth and hypertrophy will make you stronger. Any good programme would incorporates both either at the same time or use periodisation to focus on 1 at a time.

    Great video 🙂 I have a question!

I do crossfit 3 times a week and hockey 2 to 3 times a week also, work on a basis of 2000 cals a day but have been struggling with any sort of physical change. Not building much extra muscle or losing fat.

How would you recommend incorporating hypertrophy training into a week where I train 5 to 6 times already at different things?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I’ve only just started to follow you and I’m loving all your advice and tips. And it’s motivating me to start lifting weights. How did you learn about hypertrophy and what machines/exercises to use/do for each part of your body. I’m worried I’ll miss certain muscles out and create an unbalanced look. Is there a book, website or something you’d recommend I use? Or any training I can go on? There’s so much conflicting information, I’d like to get the right advice. Thanks Michelle

This type of video is important for other fitness influencers to do as lots of them are maintaining their physique which they’ve already worked hard to achieve, and so the workouts that they do now are different to the ones they did to get to where they are now (if that makes sense lol) So thank you for being one of the first people ive seen to do this yet 🙂

You have been such an encouragement to me, Natacha. It wasn’t until I started following your channel a year ago that I finally started feeling free to train for reasons OTHER than physique. My body has never been where I’ve wanted it to be and I still struggle with insecurities about my size. But you just love training for strength and mobility and longevity, and that’s really why we SHOULD train. Quitting the diet/physique-driven mentality is so hard, but I’m trying my best. Thank you so much for everything you do. 🙏🏼

I am very new in this healthy world. Don’t even know the difference between hypertrophy and strenght training. Would say they are the same, but clearly not.

    • Ana Nunez

      March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

Hypertrophy is to build muscle mass and is usually higher reps (12-15) and lower weight. Strength training is usually lower reps (1-5) and much much heavier weights.. this will help with becoming more strong and helping muscle fibers be able to lift more, but does not necessarily help with gains in physical appearance.

  194. hannah

    March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

If your goal is to lose a bit of fat but still maintain and build muscle would you recommend your guide cut or move? And does cut have strength or functional training included or is it just HIIT and plyo? Really rn I’m just working on my physique . I have a base of just pure cardio and HIIT for a year and then strength training the last few months but want to be a bit leaner and strong.

    • Tope

      March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

hannah I think Cut is the better option for that goal! Cut has mostly strength, some functional, HIIT, and plyo. Move is more focused on functional training from what I’ve heard. Cut is more focused on fat loss and leaning out.

    March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

Exactly what I needed right now. Almost 1 year in strenght/hypertrophy training and I’m getting a little concerned with how “bulky” I am getting. I must go on and trust the process. Thank you!

HI! loved this video! Couldn’t come in a better time for me! I’ve been doing cardio based workouts for a year now and I want to change it up to build some muscle since I got the “skinny-fat” look going and 0 muscle/0 strength but I received some comments telling me that I’m going to gain fat if I stop doing so much cardio and swith it up??? Is it true? What can I do?

    • Enya Aceves

      March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

@E.E.F. Bronkhorst Thank you so much!!! I started weight training yesterday and I did 10 min jumping rope and felt quite nice, actually! I think I’ll incorporate a circuit here and there to mix it up a bit!

      March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

I’ve just started weight training a few months ago, after doing cardio work outs 5 times a week, because of the same issues as you and I’m actually losing fat! So I wouldn’t worry about that, I now only do HIIT 1-2 times a week

  200. Amy Joyce

    March 26, 2020 at 4:34 am

It took me a year to get into strength training as well. It took me that long to get the right information because, unfortunately, people still maintain that women will get “bulky” if they lift, which made me think all of a sudden I was going to turn into the Hulk or something lol. Then I finally realized that in order to get stronger/eat more, building muscle was key! And you’re the channel/person that changed that for me!!

    March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Natacha I cannot say how all the information you give us has changed my way of training and also my body. I did purchase your training guide Move and since then I have seen not only changes in my physique (as having more definition overall and more peachy bum haha) but also how helpful it has been to my progressive overload. Before following your guide I was not able to squat more than 50 kg (I weight 54 kg) for a year I could only do one rep 60 kg but with my knees caving in and my hip wobbling all over the place.. for an entire year! I was so frustrated..
And you honestly are so right in mixing hypertrophy with strength but also unilateral/isometric exercises. Also you included so much of accessory exercises (in Move) that I believe they are essential. Now I squat comfortably 60kg 5 reps and I am building up my pull-ups!

I cannot stress enough how valuable is the information you share with us. Thank you very much 🙂

    • Thegalianoful

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Also! Those changes in progressive overload only took 3 months!! how much time I was wasting doing things wrong and how things did speed up with the right guidance. Not enough thank yous!

Would you recommend reverse dieting at all? I’ve been training for around a year but never really been into the nutrition side, then got more interested recently as I’ve hit a plateau in terms of progression (physique wise & ability wise); when I looked into my diet I’m rarely hitting 900cals a day 😭 but I don’t want to just jump upto 2000 incase I gain fat x

Bethany Croft Plant try increasing by one hundred calories maybe every two-three weeks and be sure you’re wrong enough protein as it will keep you full and help build those muscles and be mindful that your body will probably bloat at first but is just adjusting to getting the food it needs 🙂 at least this is what I’m working on with a nutritionist rn

The whole idea of thinking of your long term goals instead of short term physique is soooo important and thank you for pointing it out in this video. I often struggle with the dilemma of wanting to be a better runner vs how training makes my body look, even though I know what matters most to me is the physical achievement. We need to celebrate strong, powerful and athletic bodies more, not just the classic size 6 model or the Instagram booty girls. They are beautiful too but athletic bodies can be really under represented at times.

    • Keelan Tatarliov

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Xanthe R I agree with you 💯!!! I am a strength training vlogger here on YouTube and I train for amateur strongwoman! I’m so happy to see that women are slowly embracing strength training more. there are tons, flexibility, resistance, strength, hypertrophy,… when the sport makes you do ‘cardio’ you will have less mass but great core while you do less cardio moves and weight=more mass and strength

@Karla León but CUT combine plyometrics, HIIT and functional training, and she said in the video that this type of training wasn’t the way she built her physic. That’s why I ask for a guide dedicated only to hypertrophy. But thank you ❤️

    • May Eighteen

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Wooh you go girl! Hypertrophy training is an amazing starting point bc you’ll learn crucial things like mind-muscle connection, time under tension and other exercise cues that will help you refine your technique. It helps you become more aware of what goes on in your body and it’s an amazing journey xxx

    • Ági Cziffra

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Natacha Océane thank you! Then this is exactly what I need now ❤

    • Natacha Océane

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

hey sweetie!! tbh I love and respect all styles of training, hypertrophy is great for building muscle and learning lifting techniques before going into heavier lifts so it was great as a starting point (: xxx

  258. Elly Bean

    March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Hey Natasha, Does your move program incorporate enough hypertrophy to build the muscle you did? I’m working through that now but not sure if I’m doing the right thing to reach my goals. Thanks 🙂

    • Natacha Océane

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

hey Elly! It can definitely help with building muscle but if that is your primary goal then you might find it helpful adding some more hypertrophy into your training split and incorporating the Move. workouts into that split. For example you could do 2-3 dedicated hypertrophy days and 1-3 Move workouts in a week depending on how many times you can train/ what works for your lifestyle (: xxx

    March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

    • Natacha Océane

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

awesome work sweetie!! you got it, you can still do some of those functional sessions, just if you want to build some muscle you should spend ~80% of your time doing hypertrophy for a while and 20% of your time doing functional until you’re happy with your base (: xxx

    March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

I’ve been going to the gym 5-6 times a week for around 6 months now. My journey started with cardio also and as my confidence grew I started weightlifting. I’m starting my strength training with pull-ups but I still focus on hypertrophy. There are just so many moves and machines to learn how to use! I think exploring that is what keeps me doing what I’m doing. Some days I still feel like I don’t know how to lift! 😅

The fitness industry really needs more people like you, Natacha. People who mindlessly throw out guides to make money and who don’t have a knowledgable scientific background are given wayyyy to much credit. I TRUST YOU! You have showed your audience that you have tried it ALL, that you have taken science into account, that you are fine with not having the curviest physique but your body does amazing things because you don’t, that the improved quality of life because of your fitness (not fitness as your life) is what is important. Your guide MOVE. is the first I have purchased and you are probably the first and last person I will purchase guides from. Thank you for sharing your journey!!!!

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Metabolic adaption. Slowly reverse back to maintainance calories and loose weight the right way.

Search how to reverse diet. Then learn how to cut properly.

If you’ve been dieting for really long you should Reverse about as long as you dieted.

Colin dewaay has no BS straight to the point videos on how to reverse and how to cut.

      Eat a lot
      Lift heavy
Sleep well. That’s it. It’s that simple

As always, loving your videos!!! and LOVE YOU <3 One question, when you talked about your metabolism, how did you gauge where it was at? (5:55) You say you went from a metabolism from 1500 to 2700? Thank you for all the information!! 🙂

    • Yvette Hernandez

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Natacha Océane how did you increase? Was it gradual? And, did you gain any weight? Reversing for the first time and have some anxiety around it but want to improve my metabolism

    • Natacha Océane

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

hey sweetie!! So I knew it was low because I was starting to maintain at 1500kcal (I was counting calories at the time) and as I became stronger with more muscle I was able to maintain at 2700kcal (again I knew this because I counted my calories sometimes and could see how much more food I was eating). Hope that makes sense!! Thanks for asking!! xxx

Aye aye I feel as though I’m in the stage where I want to put on muscle and feel super strong!! I don’t know whether I should focus on macros? Especially since I have exams now and coming up, I don’t have much time to hit the gym etc so idk whether my strength goals will have to take a backseat, because I feel as though I have become reliant on gym for building muscle? Do you have good recommendations for workouts for building muscle at home??

You and I sound alike lol. So when I was in school I felt the same way. Heres what I did…
So I took environmental engineering and my course load was very intense to say the least. What I did was take an hour out of EVERY morning (yes including weekends) to write out my notes/ work on assignments. I found this was the best way to keep up with my school work. In the evenings (around 7:00 pm). I would go to the gym to strength train for an hour (I’m competing in amateur strongwoman now because of hitting my goals!). For counting macros I’ll be quite honest.. I didn’t track my meals but I rarely ate crap (just because I had no time lol). Hopefully my experience helps you in your goals! if I can do it I’m sure you can too :). Good luck with your school! If you’re interested I have a Youtube channel about strength training. 😉

    March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Since I’ve started the gym I have seen very little results on my body but I have gained 4-5 lbs 🙁 It’s hard but I keep going, it’s difficult to not see results physically (at the gym I can see results, I started holding planks easily, I can do full push ups now, it’s not for nothing but I am not feeling any better about my body image) 🙁

    • Marieke Lensink

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Just work for a stronger body. When you can do more skills, your confidence will increase! You Will see the result. Just see it on a long turn🔥

    • Good Hello Everyone

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

@Kimmy Thanks, I’m experimenting with it at the minute, I have cut down carbs for the weeks to come to see what happens. I’m eating a lot more proteins than I used to and this is upping my calories and I need to cut them somewhere else 🙁 My diet is still vary varied though so there is just so much I can cut

    • Kimmy

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Check if you’re eating(too much) more to compensate for your increase in activity. Energy in vs energy out explains it all the time.

When you had exams etc, did you workout much? I feel like I am stuck at my desk 24/7 and don’t wanna lose my muscle :/

    • Keelan Tatarliov

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

When I was in school for environmental engineering I would use my mornings as my study time (I would wake up before school and just make casual notes everyday so when study time came around I wouldn’t have to do as much work). Then in the evenings I would go to the gym (around 7:00 pm). This gave me time to work out and increase my strength! For reference I train to compete in amateur strongwoman (so strength training is a HUGE importance in my daily life). I graduated from school with my diploma last year! Hope this helped you!

    • GG Dragneel

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

    • GG Dragneel

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

Aye aye I do remember that video now that you mention it!! I guess a question linked to that is since you were exercising much less (if at all) your food intake must have decreased so do you think your metabolism decreased a little as well?? Thank you and much love as always💕

    • Marieke Lensink

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

GG Dragneel she told that in another video. She didn’t worked out at all. She Just focused on her exams. Do what works for you. You are not going to losse muscle that soon. Focus on what’s the most important right now and if you feel it is food for your mind to go workout. Do it. Then tour body will thank you.

    • Natacha Océane

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

great question! Did you watch my video about losing muscle from taking breaks? I put it up a few months ago you might find it helpful! when I was studying I used to take 7 week breaks no training nothing and tbh my fitness went down and I lost a bit of muscle but it wasn’t drastic, I developed really good muscle memory so it’s fine after a month or so I was back to normal (: so dw if it’s just a busy phase, you’ll 100% get back to it! xx

Hi Natasha, love your videos! I was wondering how you figure out your daily energy expenditure?

    • CardboardUnicorn

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

No, NEAT stands for non-exercise activity thermogenesis, ie what you burn in a day through walking, fidgeting etc. Search for a TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) calculator online and enter in your stats. I like to use a few different ones to find an average. After that it’s trial and error!

    • TaylorSwiftGleek

      March 26, 2020 at 4:45 am

You calculate your NEAT as a basis of how many calories you burn just existing then add on any exercise you do 🙂

@Natacha Océane i did your Move workout and I am on 25% on CUT and I love them all. I also bought you Home workout for when I can’t make it to the gym or for when I go in holiday. Also your elastic bands are amazing, always helping me with those pullups. Are you planning to release any new training plans? 🥰🥰

    Hey Natacha!
I know this is unrelated, (I hope you don’t mind!)

But I’m almost finished your amazing Cut guide and I seriously don’t want it to end! Do you think it would be beneficial to maybe do it over again, maybe back to front? Or is the guide only designed to be done once?

Thank you, and I love love your channel!

Doesn’t hurt to try it again if you love it so much! 🙂 I had a strength training coach give me a month program, I loved it so much at the time that I did it twice! I just increased my weight and lowered my reps (I’m a strength training Vlogger!).
