3 Best Secrets – How To Make Your Butt Grow (AVOID MISTAKES!) | MIND PUMP

3 Best Secrets How to make your butt grow (AVOID THESE MISTAKES)

Why you struggle with this?
– Poor Neurological Connection
– Anterior Pelvic Tilt (more weight on quads and hip flexors)
– Lots of reps “to feel the burn”

Get reconnected with your butt…nuerologically ; )

3 Movements:

Floor Bridges x 10 reps each side (flat back)
– Knees bent at 90 degrees
– Feet shoulder width apart
– Tuck your chin down
– PRESS YOUR LOW BACK FLAT
– Core & Abs engaged
– Lift up and squeeze your glutes
– Slow and controlled; pause at the top

Frog Pumps/Butterfly x 10 reps each side (open knees)
– Tuck chin
– Flatten back
– Knees open
– Lift up and squeeze your glutes
– Slow and controlled; pause at top

Bulgarian Split Squat x 5 reps each side
– Start from the bottom
– Kneel down first
– 90 degree bend
– Find comfortable position
– Glute mead activated
– Keep knee out and open
– DO NOT allow it to collapse it
– Nice and slow, controlled
– Intent = neurological connection

Just because you feel a certain exercise doesn’t mean it’s going to help you grow your butt.

    Get your atlas adjusted. Your head is not sitting right at the top so you are leaning forward. This keeps you on your toes. If you get your 20 lbs head back in the center of your neck and body, you will be sitting on your heals and using your butt and back of your legs to balance. Its much more comfortable then trying to force your body to over build to keep your body looking balanced. Good job.

    Hmmmm, I wonder if the reason why I have a V shaped butt instead of a rounded peach shaped but is because I always walked with my feet inward instead of outward? I have since corrected it now but I used to walk flat footed for a lot of my life, probably my most crucial developmental stages like puberty when my body was forming. I have a kind of hourglass shape but my butt is an odd shape at the back. it doesn’t merge with my butt like most women’s do. I have big upper hips, narrow lower hip and thigh and my butt is kinda smallish and low down (not saggy just low and rounded at the bottom with nothing going outward as you said)

    Yours had been the most informative butt exercise video of all!
    None of them really explain exactly how to do these exercises correctly. They just show you the exercises. I also want bigger lower hips too!

    Great vid. I have an inverted triangle body type so it’s tough because I want to slim the top half of my body while gaining muscle/weight on the bottom half of my body. Is it even possible to completely transform the shape you’re born with, with the right workouts? Or can I realistically only change things to a certain point, but will always be held back a bit bc of those genetics? I don’t want to keep reaching for a goal that’s unattainable for me, haha.

    In order for any muscle to increase in size you must do controlled movements. slow, focus and of course for building, heavier weight. When using heavy weights you must control movements and have strict posture while doing or risk injury causing you to lose time in the gym sitting on your flat butt.

    Hey! Great video, fantastic channel! Question?
    You stated in your video that you need to do heavy compound lifts to grow your muscles and accessory work doesn’t really cut it. I have always heard this and do tend to agree with it.
    However I know some athletes both personally and otherwise who don’t actually lift super heavy and focus more on intensity and they have developed larger muscles, and with such definition.
    You can really see this in runners; cross country runners are often very slim whereas sprinters tend to have big strong legs. What are your thoughts on this? I’d be very interested to know.

    Well, I don’t care if my butt is big. I remember when we all wanted little butts. I do, however, have a bad back. I had a laminectomy, microdiscectomy, and a fusion with hardware on L4-S1, so I have screws and rods. I have to do core exercises to help with pain. The way you explained the way to engage my abs while doing them. I always have a hard time with that. It would probably do me good to do butt exercises too. I just don’t want a big butt, but I don’t want pain either.

    Why is it the new trend to have such a huge ass? All you see is “Exercise your glutes – bum- and get huge” why? I have seen ladies coming from Mexico to party here in Vegas, with the most ridicules behinds, reminds me of jokes like… I can put my drink on her ass like a table, yeah these you really could.     Interesting. As rehab for my knee, my PT had me do the first two exercises. She said that often knee problems mean that the hip and glutes are probably weak. I could lift heavy weights, but I was not taking care of the smaller muscles that keep everything connected. Thanks for these. I will add them back into my arsenal.

      Until you really feeling the glutes – at that point your priming sets are done. Just continue your workout as normal. In the case of this example the squat is exercise 1.

      It would seem as though that muscle is being stretched whilst in that position and that sensation is more possibly more noticeable than the activation of the other musculature. Likely nothing wrong if your technique and tempo seem ok.

For example perhaps buying a weight rack basically how to build a home gym that will yield the same results as having a workout at the gym to build the glutes. No matter how costly it is including weights the weight rack or whatever one needs to build a home gym to build glutes that compare to going to a gym. Some people don’t want to go to the gym

      You can certainly improve your posture and core strength in the long run. And losing body fat, in general, should help lean out anything if this is a body fat issue ( sorry still struggling to understand). Slouching is usually a postural issue and being aware of it and performing some corrective exercise for the mid/upper back should work.

    Helpful video. I disagree about only focusing on heavy lifting for glute training since you will be ignoring many of the slow-twitch muscle fibers that make up the majority of your butt. The slow-twitch fibers may not grow as much as the fast-twitch fibers but mid to high rep ranges with lighter weight should probably be a part of a complete routine (http://fitphreak.com/whats-your-type-fiber-type-training-for-great-glutes).

      Thank you for the input Kevin. The need to tailor training to specific fiber types is largely conjecture at this point. There just is not a solid basis of data to support the need to train each muscle by its supposed fiber type division.     Well done sir! I have been a personal trainer for 10+ years and now I also teach exercise and health science related classes at a UC school. Anterior pelvic tilt is so common among the students, especially the females. The likelihood that someone have this kind of issue is already very high but I’ve seen it become even more of an issue among the younger generation females over the past couple of years. I think social media plays a big role in this as I jokingly refer to it as Instagram swayback. This posture has become the new goal for many young women as they think it makes them look sexier and more like a model but they don’t realize that it’s actually taking them further away from their dream butt since they are essentially suppressing glute activation and recruitment when performing compound lower body exercises like squats and deadlifts. I appreciate that you made proper form the emphasis for each exercise and explained how important it is to re-train the glutes to activate and fire correctly in order to get the benefits the client had in mind choosing the exercise. Nice work! I’m going to add this video as related resource material for my women’s weight lifting classes. Thanks!

      Lower Cross Syndrome or LCS, is a neuromuscular condition in which there are tight and weak muscles in the abdominals and gluteus maximus, which causes that arch in the lower back. Whereas Lordosis is the excessive inward curve of the spine. It also causes an arch in the lower back, which is due to incorrect spinal alignment, rather than weakened muscles.

    Question, why would you say that high weight rather than high reps is the main way to grow glutes? From the research I’ve seen, the glutes are 70% slow twitch muscles and only roughly 30% fast twitch. Can you explain further?

      Heavy resistance applied to rep ranges of 8-12 (but also 2-5 and 12-20) have been demonstrated to build muscle. Super high reps with really light weight builds very little muscle.

    Almost every body has a neurological disconnect? m8 r u even for real? your are talking about a lower crossed syndrome which is a muscular imbalance with no neurological symptoms. If one has a neurological disconnect syndrome building a butt muscle will be the very least concern.

    Posture makes big differance. Thats why i couldnt feel the butt workout. I would usually feel it in thighs not in the butt. I have huge gap in lower spine curvature. Thank god i found this vid!!!!.

      @Alejandra Galvez no he’s probably reffering to anterior pelvic tilt when the butt sticks out and you have a big arch in your lower back causing your stomach to stick. A main cause of this is having weak glutes.
